When I was 10 I planned my first event- my mom’s 40th birthday surprise party. I knew then event planning was my future…
I have ten years of planning events professionally, including everything from weddings to galas to golf tournaments to everything in between.
For three years after graduation, I worked at Epting Events, one of the south’s largest event planning and catering companies. I learned the ins and outs of events from catering to linens to florals to rentals to everything in between. Shortly afterwards, my husband and I moved to Charleston and I worked in the catering department at The Mills House in downtown Charleston. This unique experience gave me the opportunity to see an event from the venue’s perspective.
My next career moves led me to nonprofit fundraising events at Trident Technical College and Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina where I’ve overseen some of the largest, fundraising events in the Lowcountry.
While my skill set has vastly improved since I was 10, I still get just as excited, if not more, before and after every event. I love the post-event high and am excited to help bring your event to life and execute it flawlessly!
